With this half face mask, I painted the entire base with layers of acrylic paint, covering up the fabric entirely. Additionaly, I ornamented the face of the mask with burgundy and gold edged ribbon, in a manner simulating vaulted ceilings or archways of gothic cathedrals. The ribbons which tie the mask on are black grosgrain, while the entire piece is edged in a metallic gold and blck ribbon gimp. Like all of my masks, this one is lined with felt on the inside to absorb sweat from the person wearing it.
