With the comedia mask, I was inspired by the bright and colorful costumes of the Italian Comedia, and that of the circus. The colors are created from multiple layers of white and blue acrylic paint. Gold braided trim lines the edges of each color area, and is pin pointed at the center of the mask, by creating a diamond shape. The ribbons to fasten the mask about the wearer's head are a translucent gold wired ribbon, knotted at the ends. As with all of my masks, this one is lined with felt on the inside to absorb sweat from the person wearing it. This mask still has the tied rafia and thank you card attached, as it was created among the 80 unique masks I made for my wedding. Other masks for the event were similarly bound with their ribbons behind it, and placed on each table setting for guests.
