Penance

Penance is a difficult painting for me to work on. I have found that I have to be in an extremly upset mood to even continue with the piece. An older sketch turned into painting, this one requires alot from me mentally and can be exhaustive. Still in just it's infancy, Penance will take some time to complete. My plans with the lighting are for a more dramatic flare, as seen in Patience, with the figure's head being partially obscured due to the brightness of the light source to come.
