Silver Butterfly Mask

The fabric chosen for this mask is a silver/grey stretch volour that was tough to work with, as it was always changing shape. With some elbow greaseI was able to preserve the impression of the butterfly wing membranes into the fabric. To line the mask I used a braided silver metallic trim that complements the volour nicely. The ribbons to tie the mask on with are a bright mettalic silver. This mask, like all of my others is lined with felt on the inside to absorb sweat from the person wearing it. It was created among the 80 unique masks I made for my wedding.
